Airport Procedures

The following is a detailed description of the pick up procedures at Denver International Airport (DIA), Colorado Springs Airport (COS), and the Jet and Aviation Centers.

Colorado Jet Center and Cutter Aviation (formerly Colorado Aviation Center) (private charters only):
The vehicle will pull directly up to the plane, so it is imperative that the driver has the tail number. This needs to be given to the transportation department at least 24 hours in advance. This is true of arrivals and departures.

Colorado Springs Airport (private charters):
The drivers can have a sign with the company name or the passenger’s last name if it is requested. The driver can meet the passenger outside with the car, or inside baggage claim at the bottom of the escalator. This needs to be indicated at the time the order is taken. To meet the driver outside with the car, simply exit baggage claim and the driver will be out by the vehicle at the commercial curb. Any questions may be addressed at the Broadmoor Welcome Desk in baggage claim.

Colorado Springs Airport (shuttle service):
Passengers can check in at the Broadmoor Welcome Desk located in baggage claim to pick up their tickets. If the Welcome Desk is closed, use the hotline phone next to the desk to call the transportation office and coordinate your pickup. Then simply exit baggage claim and go to the second lane. The Broadmoor shuttle is provided by Ramblin Express, and has the Broadmoor insignia near the rear of the Mini Coach. Please call the Transportation department and book the shuttle in advance, as it is reservation only.

Denver International Airport (private cars, limousines or vans only):
Upon arrival at DIA, the driver will keep the car in a holding area after the attendant has acquired the passenger’s name and flight number. When the passenger has exited the plane, he or she must take the tram from their concourse to the main terminal, where baggage claim is located. Once all baggage has been collected (if necessary), the passenger must go outside to one of the Ground Transportation booths (located on the island at the first curb marked “Limos and Taxis”), and advise the attendant in the Green vest that he or she is ready to depart the airport, and that the car from Ramblin Express is in the holding area. The attendant at the booth will then contact the attendant at the holding area, verify the information that the passenger and the driver have provided, and allow the attendant at the holding area to release the vehicle. The vehicle will pull up to the curb shortly thereafter.

Denver International Airport (private minicoaches or motorcoaches):
Upon arrival at DIA, the driver will keep the coach in a holding area after the attendant has acquired the group’s name and flight number(s). When the passengers have exited the plane(s), they must take the tram from their concourse to the main terminal where baggage claim is located. Once all baggage has been collected for everybody, the group liaison or greeter must check in at the Ground Transportation Information Counter in the middle of level 5. The liaison or greeter must inform the desk attendant that they have a bus from Ramblin Express waiting for them. The entire group will be directed out to the fifth island marked “Buses/RTD”. The bus will pull up to load at their location on island five shortly thereafter.

All meet and greet services at both airports will take place in the baggage claim area unless otherwise designated.
